September Storm
"September Storm" by Jim Tice
The Eleventh of September was Solemn
Scenes of Sadness..Suffering..Smoke and Fire
As The Cameras Rolled Relentlessly On
Showing the Death Dance of the Twins.....
Airplane Arrows Pierced Their Hearts and Ours
Staring in Wonder At the Madness of Madmen
Called Terrorists and Ji Hadists...and Extremists
Killers Whose Heaven is Hell .Making..
War with Little Children and Innocent Souls..
Of People Who Never Even Wished Them Harm
But who Died Horrible Deaths From Atrocious Acts
As the Twins Crumbled with Broken Backs...
Fuel Fed Flames consuming People and Pentagon
Crashing Chaos of Death and Destruction of Life ...
But Not The Spirit You See..The Flag of Liberty
Still Flying Among the bloody Scene of Inhumanity....
editors note. This poem was originally published on Partizane on January 24, 2009. I feel it only fitting that it be reloaded to our front page where it shall remain on top for the day. The original comments will also be left and we ask that people please add your own 9/11 story.
The 9/11 Memorial the Media Largely Ignores
There is a beautiful memorial to the victims of 9/11 in Bayonne Harbor, New Jersey, just across from the Statue of Liberty. Its beauty is reflected in its art as well as its very human and enduring sentiment. It is a testament to the will of humanity to persevere over those that would destroy us, and it was given to the people of the United States by the people of Russia.(That's a photo of the memorial on the left.) Our media true to form has been too busy reporting on the trash they find important to make us aware of this treasure, which as usual does not serve our interests or the public good.
This impressive memorial “To the Struggle against World Terrorism” (often called "TEAR DROP") was given to us by the Russians to honor those who died in 9/11, and it is a grand statement against terrorism. The monument is also known as the "The Tear of Grief," "The Teardrop Memorial," and "The Memorial at Harbor View Park." It is the work of world-renowned Russian artist Zurab Tsereteli, who reportedly spent close to $12 million of his own money to produce, and help cover the shipping and assembly of the memorial on its American site.

In Memory
September 11, 2001
Like millions of others I was deeply effected by the terrorist attacks of 9/11. My daughter was a new freshman at NYU, incredibly excited about moving to the city of her dreams. Her dorm was on 4th street, about 20 blocks from Ground Zero. there's more not showing please read on...

The Day Pigs Flew
This is also the NH just had two fillings replaced and needs to pass out open thread.
Yesterday, September 9, 2008 will live in Barack Obama's nightmares forever. It is the day his campaign all but ended, The Day Pigs Flew.
Now, I know he just used a common expression that even John McCain uses and I feel confident he was not calling Governor Palin a pig. But that doesn't matter. Perception is everything. A lesson drilled into any marketer or salesperson's head. Perception is Everything.
