Yesterday's election of Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts was indeed a referendum on Obama policies.  The exit polling clearly shows that people still like the guy personally but hate his policies.  It is much like the Reagan effect wherein I remember being sad for my country yet still in awe of his every word.

But I go beyond the dumbass pollsters and pundits who see everything in neat little packages of black and white.  I think people, even most Republicans, wanted real, meaningful Health Care reform and if the Obamanoids had not compromised our future to the Insurance companies through back room deals, Martha Coakley would be Senator.  Had Obama, Reid and Pelosi not been scheming how to ram it through without another Senate vote, Martha Coakley would be Senator.

It is not his policies I detest it is his politics.

Well damn it all, but it looks like Martha may have fallen prey to Clinton over-confidence.  In the last days it seems a toss up rather she will become the first female Senator from Mass.

And here I am in Florida unable to help get out the vote as I had planned.   Then again, with my luck picking candidates, maybe she's better off with me down here.

I have never (Bill C. 2nd. term does not count) backed a NH Primary player who went on to win the WH.

Anyone and everyone near Mass.  please get on a bus and hold a sign or knock on doors.  We need Martha, and I don't mean for the health debacle.  We need her strength and fortitude in a Capitol full of wimps.
