$600 Million, $150 Million in September alone
Ok we'll get one thing out of the way. I suck at math. I think I've balanced a checkbook once and I've been forever thankful for online banking that saves me the effort.
$600 Million dollars has been raised by the Obama campaign. He will easily pass all the $650m million spent in 2004. Somebody else can do some research and find the true numbers. One article is here at Kansascity.com.
All I'm reading is the usual about his great fund raising skills, learned as a community organizer I'm sure and that this has effectively destroyed public financing of campaigns.
